Practicing Medicine - Robert Scharstein, MD



Robert Scharstein, MD has lead a very successful professional career over the years. After graduating from high school, Robert Scharstein, MD decided to attend the University of South Carolina. Robert Scharstein, MD was even accepted into the honors program at the University of South Carolina. Robert Scharstein, MD earned a bachelor of science degree in biology and chemistry from the University of South Carolina. Robert Scharstein, MD  attended the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine after graduating from the University of South Carolina. Robert Scharstein, MD studied hard and was able to earn a doctorate in medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine. Shortly after graduating from his doctorate program, Robert Scharstein, MD landed a prestigious internship at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Robert Scharstein, MD became very knowledgeable in the field of medicine through his internship with the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. 

Robert Scharstein, MD practiced medicine for many years, eventually opening his own practices in North Carolina and then South Carolina. Robert Scharstein, MD decided that going into the field of medicine was a good idea, because he sincerely enjoyed helping other people as much as he could. Helping others is something that Robert Scharstein, MD will continue to do for the rest of his life, as it is very important to him. 

Somehow, despite his busy schedule, Robert Scharstein, MD has even found the time to found the Lowcountry Autism Consortium. The Lowcountry Autism Consortium is a fantastic organization that has made the lives of people with autism much better and easier. Robert Scharstein, MD is the father of two autistic children, so the Lowcountry Autism Consortium is very important to him. Robert Scharstein, MD retired from medicine in 2003, at his own physician’s recommendation, but maintains his passion for helping people.
